πŸ•ŠοΈ Funeral (Janazah) Services

β€œWhoever attends the funeral until the prayer is offered will have one qirat of reward, and whoever stays until the burial is completed will have two qirats… each equal to Mount Uhud.”
β€” Prophet Muhammad ο·Ί (Sahih Bukhari)

Supporting You in Times of Loss

The passing of a loved one is a deeply emotional and challenging time. At Kinshicho Masjid, we are here to support you with compassion and care, helping you fulfill Islamic burial rites in Japan with dignity and ease.

While our mosque does not conduct Ghusl (washing of the deceased) inside the premises due to facility limitations, we actively assist with arranging all necessary steps according to Islamic guidelines and local regulations.

πŸ“‹ What We Can Help With

We provide the following support for Janazah arrangements:

βœ… Our Services Include:

  • Guidance on Ghusl: We will connect you with authorized facilities where Ghusl can be performed respectfully by trained individuals.

  • Salat al-Janazah (Funeral Prayer): Can be performed at the mosque or designated outdoor locations depending on circumstances.

  • Burial Coordination: Assistance with Muslim cemetery contacts and burial arrangements in Tokyo or nearby cities.

  • Administrative Help: Advice on paperwork, city office permissions, and death certificate procedures.

πŸ•Œ How the Process Works

  1. Contact us immediately after a death in the family or community.

  2. We will guide you on:

    • Arranging Ghusl externally

    • Scheduling the Janazah prayer

    • Coordinating with cemetery and funeral services

  3. We will help you notify the community (if desired) for Janazah prayer attendance.

πŸ“„ Documents You Will Need

Japanese law requires specific documents for burial:

  • Death Certificate (Shibou Todoke)

  • Burial or Cremation Permit (Maisou Kyokasho)

  • Passport/ID copies of the deceased and next-of-kin

  • Information about cemetery and next steps

We will assist you step-by-step with Japanese documentation and permissions.

🀲 Islamic Reminder

In Islam, taking care of the deceased is a collective responsibility (Fard Kifayah). Attending the Janazah prayer, comforting the grieving, and helping with burial are all acts of immense reward.
